No TNT (7/24/14)
We are going to go ahead and call it a wrap on the Thursday Night Triathlons for 2014. Construction near the park is making it a bit of a mess.

We will be holding our annual summer picnic on Sunday June 22nd (after the RochesterFest Triathlon). Come out and relax with your fellow TriRocehster members, celebrate your past races and talk about upcoming races. The club will provide burgers, hotdogs and water and soda. Please bring a dish or side to share and whatever other beverages you like. If you can bring some fold-up chairs that would be great too. We will get things started around 1pm, but feel free to drop in anytime after that. Check your inbox for details.
Racing at the RochesterFest Triathlon on June 22nd? Or, want to get out on your bike for a group ride?
We will be meeting at Foster Arend Park on Tuesday, June 10th at 6pm for a group ride of the RochesterFest Sprint and Olympic bike courses. Being familiar with the course is a big benefit come race day, so come join us! We will have some pace/distance options so no one gets left behind.
If you aren't already registered for the race on the 22nd, you can find out info and register here.
We will be doing one more group ride of the RochesterFest course on Monday, June 16th at 6:30pm.
UPDATE 6/16/14
Storms are likely going to be a problem for our ride tonight, so we are going to POSTPONE the ride to tomorrow. Same time and place: Start riding at 6:30pm from Foster Arend Park on Tues, June 17th.
Come get ready for your upcoming races! We are kicking off our practice triathlons this week. Whether you are signed up for your very first race or are a seasoned triathlete, these practice tri's are a great way to establish a routine, improve your transitions, or get experience swimming in open water in a group. Also, if you think you might be interested in doing triathlon or joining TriRochester, we encourage you to come participate in our practice tri's, or even just come to watch.
When: Thursday's in June and July at 6:30pm
Where: Foster Arend park in Rochester (East river road, off of 37th Street)
Details: See our TNT page
Our transition area will be in the grass near the NE corner of the parking lot. Come early to get your area set up. We will walk down to the lake and start the swim as a group at 6:30pm. If you questions about the sport, getting ready for a race, the club, or want help setting up your transition area please ask. We will be there early to setup and answer questions.
Due to yet more rain and thunderstorms in the forecast for Thursday June 19th, we are going to move the TNT this week to Friday, June 20th so that everybody has one last chance to get to TNT before the RochesterFest Triathlon. We'll still start at 6:30 and will be there early to set up and answer any questions or help you setup your transition area.
We've got something a little bit different for this month's club social.
We'll be going to the Berne Outdoor Wood-Fired Pizza. Berne is about 9 miles southwest of Pine Island on County Road 13 (Dodge County 24). It is at the Church in Berne on the North side of 24.
It is picnic style and it would be good to bring a chair. There is water and soft drinks for sale, but you can also bring whatever beverages you like. We'll bring a cooler with ice you can use.
When: Wednesday June 4th, 6pm
Where: 23148 County Hwy 24, West Concord, MN 55985 (this is near where Co Rd 24 meets Hwy 57)
Come by and see us at the Expo at the Civic Center from 10am to 5pm on Saturday. You can learn about our club and the sport of Triathlon, or just come to say "Hi". TriRochester will also be running the mile 10 waterstop on the marathon and half marathon on Sunday.
Good Luck Runners!!!
It is time to kick off our spring time trial series this week in Rock Dell. We will use the same course as in years past, so you can compare your times from before. We will start just north of Rock Dell at 6pm each week beginning on May 8th, 2014.
If you have not been to our Spring TT series before, you should come give it a try. There will be others there, but it is all about YOU versus the CLOCK. The course is a 14 mile loop and is mostly flat and gently rolling terain.
Check out all of the details via our EVENTS page and then go get your bike ready!
It is looking pretty miserable for cycling outside this week, so we are going to cancel the Hill workout tomorrow and hopefully start our spring time trial series next week (5/8).
